Water is filtering very slowly. Is this normal?Updated 3 months ago

All our filters have a slower flow than most competitors because our filters remove a much larger range of contaminants. Clean water is worth the wait!

A normal range for new filters is 1-2 hours. Once you've used your filter, it will get faster and should take 15-30 minutes.

However, if you think that your water filter is filtering too slowly, you may need to re-flush your filter again. To do that, soak your filter in a bowl of lukewarm water for 15 minutes and see if that helps. (It's a good idea to do this if you've been away and haven't used your filter for more than 5 days.)

If this doesn't improve the flow, then it may simply be time for a new filter. See the FAQ topic, "How do I know when to replace my filter?"
