For filling it up, pour the water into the top reservoir and let it filter down through to the bottom. You may notice if you have the Pure filter (which has three holes) that water only streams out of one or two of the holes. That's normal! Water is cohesive so it likes to stick together. 

Once that's filtered all the way through, you can fill the top reservoir again as the bottom reservoir which holds the filtered water is larger. You can do this until the bottom reservoir is full and then repeat for more delicious filtered water!
